TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were indicted in the homicide of Michael Bradford-Washington, who was shot and killed in west Toledo in February.
According to a grand jury report, Catarino Rodriguez, who was arrested on June 5, was indicted on the following charges:
- Aggravated murder
- Murder, two counts
- Felonious assault
- Discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premises
- Tampering with evidence

A second suspect, Mercedes Rodriguez, was indicted on counts of obstructing justice and participating in a criminal gang. According to a court document, Mercedes Rodrigues reported that a stolen vehicle was used in the homicide, when it was in fact not stolen. Police also said she gave a detective a false name when she was asked for her personal information.
Mercedes Rodriguez is not yet in custody, a Toledo police spokesperson confirmed Friday.

Bradford-Washington, 20, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Feb. 11 at the intersection of Sylvania and Hoiles avenues around 2 p.m. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The Lucas County Coroner ruled Bradford-Washington's death a homicide.
