TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was taken to the hospital following a stabbing in east Toledo Sunday evening.
According to a Toledo police report, crews responded to an apartment in the 1300 block of Starr Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. after receiving a call regarding a person stabbed. Police located a 56-year-old victim at the scene suffering from at least one stab wound, the report said.
According to Toledo police documents, police arrested 48-year-old Brandi Burrell in the incident, who was accused of stabbing the victim in the back with a pair of scissors.

The victim was taken to the hospital. In the report, police described the victim as being in stable condition. Burrell was charged with felonious assault. A judge set Burrell's bond at $50,000.
