TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a shooting in east Toledo late Tuesday that led officers to a scene, but not to any injured persons.
According to a Toledo police report, officers were called to the 1100 block of Earl Street for a complaint of shots fired and a ShotSpotter Alert just before midnight.

Police arrived on scene and said they were able to determine the residence was struck multiple times. Officers also identified a scene of the incident, including what they described in the report as a "blood trail".
Officers said they spoke with residents of the home, none of whom were injured. They also did not know where the blood trail came from.
