SWANTON, Ohio — UPDATE: Edward Polansky was indicted by a Fulton County Grand Jury on April 16 on the following charges:
- One count of murder
- One count of involuntary manslaughter
- Two counts of having weapons while under disability
- One count of aggravated possession of drugs
- One count of possession of cocaine
- One count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound

Police on Monday filed a murder charge against a man accused of fatally shooting another man in Swanton on March 28.
Fulton County court records show Edward Polansky, 33, was charged with one count of murder in the death of John Wolf.
The Fulton County coroner told WTOL 11 that Wolf's cause of death is multiple gun shot wounds and that the autopsy was conducted by the Lucas County Coroner's Office.
The incident is under investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The Swanton Police Department said it received a report at approximately 5:49 p.m. on March 28 of two injured individuals on South Main Street near Garfield Avenue in the village.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, they located a vehicle pulled off the roadway on South Main Street. Police said they discovered that one of the male occupants, later identified Wolf, was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a second male occupant was detained.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding the matter is asked to contact the Swanton Police Department.
