Police: 2 people shot in central Toledo overnight

A shooting took place at 10:30 p.m. and the victim's condition is unknown. A man in his 30s died at his home in a different incident, according to officers.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people have been shot in two different incidents overnight in central Toledo, according to police.

The incidents seem to be unrelated.

A shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of North Street and Canton Street, near Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.

The victim was hospitalized on Friday night and identified as Kijuan Traver on Saturday morning. Traver's condition is unknown at this time.

A few hours later, just before 12:30 a.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 2200 block of Dorr Street at Shirley Avenue.

When police arrived, they say the victim, 30-year-old Tyree Hill, was laying just inside his residence, apparently killed from a gunshot wound.

A murder warrant was later issued for 26-year-old Marquise Grant.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
