Woman shot at her south Toledo residence

Police said an unknown suspect was in the woman's residence when she arrived home.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after she was shot by a suspect in her south Toledo home. 

According to a Toledo police report, the victim, whom police described as a 21-year-old woman, returned home to her residence in the 1100 block of Brookview Drive at the Arbor Landings Apartments just after 9 p.m. When she entered her home, an unknown male suspect wearing all black was in her home and shot her.

Police and Toledo Fire and Rescue responded to the home after receiving a 911 call. Crews transported the woman to the hospital. Her condition was described as stable in the report.
