OTTAWA HILLS, Ohio — As school districts in Ohio wait for answers from Gov. Mike DeWine, many in our area are doing what they can to prepare for what guidance they do get.
The superintendent of Ottawa Hills Local Schools says they would like to resume in-person learning.
If that happens, the district is concerned about how staff would work to spread out kids in elementary school because it's already at capacity.
Right now, plans are broken down into three parts.
"We're looking at how we're going to clean. What's that going to look like if school is back? How can we focus on prevention? So that prevention piece is big and the third final piece is social distancing," Adam Fineske said.
Fineske says he's hearing from district families that they'd like to go back to in-person learning as well.
Currently, district leaders are meeting twice a week to go over plans as a group to see where everyone stands.
