Nature's Nursery in Whitehouse is getting help from an unlikely ally.
8-year-old Morgan Nino from Maumee donated all the money she earned from her lemonade stand on Thursday to the animal rescue operation.
Nature's Nursery gave a shout out to the little girl on their Facebook page on Friday.
Morgan raised over one hundred dollars over the course of the day.
She got the idea after her older brother Jackson and his friend Emmett asked for donations for Nature's Nursery in lieu of birthday presents last year.
Morgan's grandmother Sherrie says Morgan has two dogs but loves all animals, especially sea turtles.
She loves Nature's Nursery because they take in all animals.
Over the weekend, two Toledo sisters took up Morgan's cause and opened a lemonade stand of their own, with Morgan's permission.
Ryleigh and Shelby gave away water and snacks for free in their south Toledo neighborhood in exchange for donations to Nature's Nursery on Sunday.
The girls were able to raise $85 for the animal rescue.
Last week, Nature's Nursery announced for the first time in their 31 year history, the facility had no room to accommodate any more animals at this time.
The animal rescue has been actively working on securing land on which they can build a larger facility since the beginning of the year.
Morgan's thoughtful donation will certainly help.
It's unknown at this time if Nature's Nursery has ever taken in a sea turtle.
