HICKSVILLE, Ohio — A hospital in Defiance County temporarily suspended its operations Sunday, according to a Facebook post from the institution.
In a post made Thursday, Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville said it would temporarily suspend operations beginning Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Hospital leadership said they were pursuing "all avenues to restore operations and keep services available in the community".

A reason for the suspension was not provided in the post.
Community Memorial Hospital is the only hospital in the village of Hicksville, which has a population of approximately 3,400 people. It is 22 miles west of the city of Defiance. The next nearest hospital to Hicksville is Paulding County Hospital, approximately 18 miles away.
