TOLEDO, Ohio — Two Toledo police officers were taken to the hospital after a three-car crash involving a TPD vehicle downtown Thursday night.
According to Toledo police, they were traveling in "code three response" when they struck two vehicles at the intersection of Summit Street and Jefferson Avenue.
The two officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and were released. The occupants of the other involved vehicles were not injured, police said.
This was the second crash involving a Toledo police cruiser Thursday night.
Another TPD vehicle was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Point Place. One of two officers in the vehicle was taken to the hospital "for precautionary reasons," a sergeant at the scene told WTOL 11. No other injuries in the crash have been reported.
