Line the streets and show support for Officer Anthony Dia on Tuesday - Here's where and when to arrive

Organizers are asking supporters to line Monroe St.'s sidewalks as the officer's funeral procession travels from Savage Arena to Toledo Memorial Park.

TOLEDO, Ohio — After Officer Anthony Dia's funeral, people are encouraged to line the route from Savage Arena to Toledo Memorial Park. Supporters are asked to stand by the street on sidewalks with flags and signs of support to honor Officer Anthony Dia. 

The funeral procession will leave Savage Arena around noon on Tuesday. Organizers are asking you to be standing along street by 11:30 a.m.

Officer Anthony Dia's funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7 at Savage Arena. It is closed to the general public, but will be broadcast on WTOL 11, and on our website, app and Facebook page.

Procession Route

The funeral procession will be traveling west from Douglas to Monroe St. to the entrance of Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania. 

The procession will be estimated in excess of 3 miles long and close all traffic on Monroe St. between city limits and Toledo Memorial Park. The arrival time at the park is estimated to be between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Exit time is estimated to be around 2 p.m. and drivers are urged to avoid the area due to the amount of anticipated traffic. 

Citizens are encouraged to line the sidewalks along Monroe St. to pay their respects to Officer Dia.
