MONROE, Mich. — Rainfall and significant ice melt caused flooding issues in the River Raisin in Monroe Friday morning, rendering some roadways impassable for a period of time.
At approximately 8 a.m., the Monroe Public Safety Department made a social media post regarding the flooding, and encouraged citizens to avoid flooded roadways while crews worked to reroute traffic. According to the post, the department had already received reports of vehicles becoming stuck in the roadway.
