WALBRIDGE, Ohio — Crews from multiple departments in Wood County responded to a house fire in Walbridge on Sunday evening.
The fire, on the 5700 block of Moline-Martin Road started around 6 p.m. and closed down the road for at least two hours.
According to the Lake Twp. Fire Department, the homeowner discovered the fire when he was making a meal in the home, heard the smoke alarm, opened the door to the family room, and smoke rushed in.
The owner then saw smoke and fire started in the garage.
Firefighters say there was significant damage to the garage and some damage to the upstairs portion of the home.
No one was injured in the fire but the occupants won’t be able to stay at the home for the foreseeable future.
Crews from Perrysburg Twp., Allen-Clay, City of Northwood, and Lake Twp. Fire responded to the fire.
