TOLEDO, Ohio — Expert legal advice can be costly for many people. This is why the Toledo Lucas County Public Library system and Toledo Bar Association are partnering to help low-income residents.
The Ohio Justice Bus is a mobile legal aid office that offers legal advice at no cost.
According to a press release, the service gives residents the opportunity to speak to an attorney privately about civil legal matters. People seeking advice are advised to bring with them any documents that would be helpful to the attorneys.

There are two clinics, each with a different legal focus:
Wednesday, Aug. 21
- 10 a.m. - noon | West Toledo Branch (Domestic Relations and Family Law)
- Legal matters related to protection orders, custody battles, divorce, etc.
Wednesday, Nov. 20
- 10 a.m. - noon | Main Library (Consumer Law)
- Legal matters related to bankruptcy, debt, false advertising, etc.

Services are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Walk-ups are welcome and encouraged.
The service is powered by the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation, American Electric Power Foundation and the Supreme Court of Ohio.
