TPD investigates gas station shooting in central Toledo

TPD says a large gathering of people were at the Valero gas station near Monroe and Auburn when a number gunshots were fired at the location.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a shooting that happened at a local gas station Saturday around 2 a.m. that resulted in one person getting injured. 

Police say a large gathering of vehicles and people were at the Valero gas station located on Monroe and Auburn when numerous gunshots were fired at the location. 

A short time later, 22-year-old Kemon Thorton walked in to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm. 

According to police, Thorton's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. 

This is an on-going investigation.
