Two people hospitalized after Oregon house fire

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.

OREGON, Ohio — Two people were taken to the hospital Monday morning after an Oregon house fire. 

Fire crews responded to the 3900 block of Brown Road at approximately 6:45 a.m. after receiving a call for a house fire. Crews said the fire, which began in the front living room of the house, was not difficult to extinguish.

The two people who were inside the home were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay, authorities said. Officials on scene told WTOL 11 the home's smoke alarms possibly saved the lives of the two occupants. 

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
