Ace's friend Emerson Alstad, a cheerleader at Rossford, took to social media asking everyone at Friday's game to wear black and red in his honor.

"We chose red and black for Ace because those were his two favorite colors," Alstad said. "Even his Jeep had black and red accents on the outside, so we decided in honor of him, red and black were the best colors to choose."

The squad decorated bleachers with red and black balloons, and red and black garlands, and also wore red and black in support.

"Ace was one of the best people I knew," Alstad said. "He was very kind, very caring."
