TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people are safe after a semi truck crashed into a merging semi truck early Friday.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on I-75 south near Alexis Road.
Police told WTOL one semi was trying to merge onto the highway from the Alexis Road ramp when it crashed into another semi, causing one of the trucks to flip onto its side.
Neither driver was injured.
The entrance ramp to I-75 southbound from Alexis Road was briefly shut down until the accident was cleared. The roadway has since reopened, authorities said.
The Ohio EPA was called out to the scene to clean up diesel fuel that was spilled in the crash.
