TPD investigates after man shot in leg in east Toledo

According to police, the victim was uncooperative with the investigation.

TOLEDO, Ohio — One man is recovering after being shot in his buttock/leg Saturday around 4:30 p.m. in east Toledo. 

Toledo police say they were responding to a shots fire call near Plymouth Street. On their way to the scene, police received calls of a person shot. Police then located 40-year-old Donald Preston near Raymer Boulevard with at least one gunshot wound. 

Preston was then transported to a nearby hospital for his non life-threatening injury.

According to police, Preston was uncooperative with the investigation and only said he had been shot in an alley near White Street. 

This is an on-going investigation.
