TPD: 2 hospitalized after high-speed pursuit in north Toledo ends in crash

Police at the scene told WTOL 11 they attempted to pull over a white Honda for a traffic violation when it sped off at a high rate of speed.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A high-speed police chase resulted in a violent crash in north Toledo early Wednesday.

The crash happened around midnight on Benore Road near Suffield Drive. 

Toledo police at the scene told WTOL 11 they attempted to pull over the driver of a white Honda for a traffic violation when it sped off at a high rate of speed. The driver eventually lost control and crashed into a fence. 

The female driver was found overdosing and given two doses of Narcan at the scene. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A male passenger was also taken to the hospital. No serious injuries were reported.
