The woman is in the custody of Washington Township police, TPD says.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A woman was arrested after police said she drove more than three miles through Toledo with a person on her vehicle's hood Wednesday.

The suspect, whom police identified as 70-year-old Angela Jackson, is accused in a police report of backing her vehicle into another person's vehicle at a gas station at 1708 East Manhattan Boulevard around 4:30 p.m.

According to a Toledo police report, Jackson attempted to flee the scene of the collision when the victim, whom police described as a man, jumped onto the hood of Jackson's vehicle.

In a court document, police said Jackson drove from the Manhattan Boulevard address to a location in the 2300 block of Shoreland Drive - 3.2 miles, according to Google Maps. These actions prompted many concerned witnesses to call 911, police said.

Angela Jackson, 70, was charged with inducing panic, a first-degree misdemeanor, as well as traffic citations.

Upon seeing this, police said another driver followed Jackson's vehicle and attempted to stop her by driving in front of her. This resulted in a collision and both vehicles came to a stop. When someone attempted to remove the keys from Jackson's vehicle, she bit them, according to the report.
