LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police on Tuesday issued an update into the autopsy of human remains found in a tank on a Lenawee County on property belonging to Dale Warner.
According to the report, the medical examiner has not positively identified the body, which family members believe to be that of missing woman Dee Warner. The remains were found during the execution of a search warrant in Lenawee County on property belonging to Dale Warner. Officials were out on two properties belonging to the Warners on Aug. 16.
A post on X stated that the Jackson County Medical Examiner conducted the autopsy but "further testing is needing to positively ID the remains, which should be done in the next couple of days." Additionally, the cause or manner of death has also not been confirmed.
Michigan State Police state that an investigation into Dee's case still continues.
Authorities with the Michigan State Police found what family members believed to be Dee Warner's remains welded shut inside one of two anhydrous ammonia tanks removed from Dale Warner's property off Paragon Road.

Dee Warner was first reported missing on April 25, 2021. Throughout the investigation into Dee's disappearance, Dale's attorney argued that Dee had packed up and left, citing that Dee had done this with Dale before.

Dee's husband, Dale Warner, was charged by the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department for allegedly killing his wife after she was legally declared dead. The declaration of Dee Warner's death was a decision for which her family had been waiting nearly two and a half years.
