OHIO, USA — Nearly 400 Ohio Department of Transportation projects will receive $106 million in combined funding, Governor Mike DeWine said in a press release, an announcement that coincided with Ohio Loves Transit Week.

The funding, which is to be distributed across seven different grant programs, will go to 383 ODOT projects and encompass a focus on workforce mobility, senior citizen and special needs transportation, rural transportation and busing. Funding will be used for multiple purposes across the department's projects, including transit fleet expansion, replacement vehicles, maintenance, upgrades and more.

"This funding will help ensure that transportation is not a barrier to opportunity," DeWine said in the press release. "We are improving the quality of life for Ohioans who depend on public transportation to access jobs, education, and medical services."
