TOLEDO, Ohio — Whether you're cheering for the BGSU Falcons or the UToledo Rockets, you can support your team - and a good cause - during the Battle of I-75 "Clash of the Cans" food drive.
The drive began on Oct. 1 and will end on Oct. 22. All donations to UToledo will benefit the Rocket Fuel food pantry. Meanwhile, the donations to BGSU will support the Falcon Food Pantry.
The winner of the canned food clash will be announced at the Battle of I-75 football game at the Glass bowl on Saturday, Oct. 26.
What to donate
UToledo said acceptable donations include canned goods, dry grains such as rice, pasta, beans and oatmeal; cereal, granola bars, popcorn, trail mix, water and non-food items. Dollar donations will also be accepted.
