It was a beautiful day for football as Rockets faithful got ready for the big game.
The bowl game kicked off at 2:30 pm CT (4:30 p.m. ET) and was televised on the CW Network with Barstool Sports providing the unconventional announcers.
Toledo earned bowl eligibility for the 14th consecutive season, standing as the eighth-longest streak in the FBS and the second-longest among "Group of Five" schools. Last year, they beat Liberty in the Boca Raton Bowl.
The Rockets had a record of 11-2 this season before the game and ended the season with consecutive losses. The Wyoming Cowboys were 8-4.
UT played in this year's Mid-American Conference championship earlier this month, losing to Miami.
Since the end of the regular season, UT quarterback Dequan Finn, the reigning MAC MVP, transferred to Baylor. Sophomore Tucker Gleason, who started three games last year, is expected to start instead.
