TOLEDO, Ohio — The Craig Memorial Bridge connecting east Toledo to north Toledo is closed to traffic for two days this week.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the bridge will be closed between Front Street and Summit Street, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26.
An alternative route is to travel across the Martin Luther King Bridge located near the intersection of Cherry Street and Summit Street.
Be cautious of time and travel as a construction project is ongoing in this area and may cause congested traffic. The projected completion of this project is set in early 2025.
The Craig Memorial Bridge closure is due to an in-depth survey and inspection analysis of the historic structure to determine what level of rehabilitation will be necessary in a future project.
