With heat index temperatures expected to approach 110 degrees and strong to severe storms possible, here's everything you need to know.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The WTOL 11 Weather Team has issued an ALERT DAY for Thursday ahead of excessive, potentially record-breaking heat and a strong to severe storm risk. Here are three things you need to know ahead of Thursday.

1) Intense heat

The expected high for Thursday is in the low 90s, with humidity causing heat indices to reach as high was 105 degrees. Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories are in effect for multiple northwest Ohio counties.
