TOLEDO, Ohio — The exceptionally warm spring weather we experienced Monday was a record-setter.

The Toledo area set a record Monday for the high temperature on this date.

At 3:20 p.m. we reached 78 degrees.

The previous record was 76 degrees, set in 1983.

The record comes less than a week after we set another high-temperature record.

The high of 73 recorded at 2 p.m. on Feb. 27 not only set a record for that date, but it officially made the day the warmest February day in recorded history.

The previous high-temp record for a February day — 71 degrees — was recorded in 1999, 2000 and 2007.

The previous high-temp record for Feb. 27 was 66 degrees, set in 1996.

After the record warmth Monday, WTOL 11's weather team predicts conditions will change through the week.

Dry and mild conditions will continue Monday night ahead of our next storm system on Tuesday.
