Blueberry cookies recipe as seen on Good Day

TOLEDO, Ohio — Got a sweet tooth? 

Brianna Stewart of Jera's Heavenly Sweet has a great cookie recipe with healthier ingredients for blueberry lovers.

Ingredients

• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 1/3 cup butter softened
• 1/3 cup and 1 tbsp sugar
• 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
• 1/2 cup white chocolate chips chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
2. Set blueberries out to begin thawing for 15 minutes or put them in the microwave for 15 seconds until some of the juice has released.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
4. Use an electric mixer or a stand mixer to cream together the butter and sugar. You want to cream the sugar and butter until the mixture is noticeably lighter and fluffy.
5. Mix the dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients to form a dough, then fold in partially thawed blueberries and white chocolate chips.
6. If the dough is a little sticky or soft, chill in the freezer for 30 minutes before shaping into 12 balls and placing 3 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.
7. Bake the cookies at 400 degrees for 10-13 minutes or until slightly brown on the edges. Let cool on a cooling rack for 5-10 minutes, then serve.
