Police: Suspect robs east Toledo 7-Eleven, takes money and cigarettes

Police say the suspect demanded money and cigarettes from an employee.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Law enforcement are investigating a robbery at an east Toledo convenience store that occurred early Monday, according to a police report. 

Toledo police crews were dispatched to a 7-Eleven store in the 1300 block of Navarre Avenue at approximately 3:15 a.m. regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, police spoke with an employee who said an adult male suspect entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes.

The suspect claimed to have a gun, so the employee complied with the demands. The suspect took an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes and fled the store on foot. 

No injuries were reported.
