TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating an alleged threatening call placed to a west Toledo restaurant, in which the caller made threats to bomb the location Tuesday morning.
According to a Toledo police report, authorities responded to the Pizza Hut in the 3400 block of Secor Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. regarding a call for a bomb threat. In the report, police said they spoke with a Pizza Hut Public Relations Officer, who said the company call center in Miami, Florida contacted her to report a threatening call.
The representative said the caller's number was a non-active Colorado Springs landline phone number. A report stated the call was deferred to the Miami call center when the phone was not picked up at the Secor location.
The caller, whose actual location and name are unknown, allegedly made threats to blow up the Secor Road Pizza Hut location. The representative told police she did not think the call was credible, but said she followed company policy in contacting the police.
