TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was injured in a shooting at a south Toledo apartment complex early Wednesday, according to a police report.
Police were contacted at after 3 a.m. regarding a walk-in gunshot wound victim at the hospital. In the report, officers said University of Toledo police first responded to handle the investigation, followed by Toledo police.
The victim had been shot at the Byrneport Apartments and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle, according to the report. Police described the victim's injury as non-life threatening.
Four other individuals who were "witnesses/involved" in the shooting were with the victim at the hospital, police stated in the report, but did not say if any were considered suspects.
