TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating an incident at an east Toledo Family Dollar Thursday that led to the arrests of two suspects, one of whom was allegedly armed with a knife.
Officers responded to a Family Dollar store in the 600 block of East Broadway Street around 9 a.m. According to a police report, a manager attempted to confront a suspect, Deanna Graves, for shoplifting and attempting to walk out of the store with merchandise.
Graves then allegedly threatened the manager with a knife and swung it twice, attempting to cut the victim. Graves then fled the store, with the merchandise, in a gray Kia Forte that was driven by a second suspect.
