Shots fired into east Toledo home Thursday, police investigating

TOLEDO, Ohio — An east Toledo home was struck by gunfire Thursday morning in an incident that police are now investigating, according to a report. 

Crews responded to a resident in the 500 block of Plymouth Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 6:45 a.m. Thursday. Toledo Police discovered that a house had been struck "numerous times" by gunfire. 

The resident was home at the time, but was not injured during the incident. Police said they located multiple shell casings outside the location, and continue to investigate the situation.
