TOLEDO, Ohio — A north Toledo man pleaded guilty to a murder charge for the death of his infant son, whom he was accused of kicking in the head in March.
Court records state Lawrence Lambert, 24, withdrew his previous plea of not guilty on Aug. 15 and pleaded guilty to murder in the death of 5-month-old Legend Lambert, who died on March 13. According to police, Lawrence Lambert kicked the infant in the head twice on March 6 because he was frustrated.
When the infant later died, a murder charge was added to his existing felonious assault and child abuse charges.
A Lucas County judge sentenced Lawrence Lambert to life in prison with parole eligibility after 15 years.
