South Toledo man ordered to have no contact with brother after allegedly strangling him

The suspect is now facing a felony charge.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A south Toledo man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly attacked his brother and strangled him Tuesday. 

According to court documents, 24-year-old Armando Cunningham slapped and punched his brother, with whom he lives, in the face. Cunningham then "placed the victim in a choke hold causing him to not be able to breathe," according to the document.

The victim had visible injuries around his neck and on his lips, the document said. 

Cunningham was charged with strangulation, a fourth degree felony. A judge set his bond at $10,000 and ordered him to have no contact with his brother. Cunningham is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 22.
