TOLEDO, Ohio — A south Toledo man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly attacked a person who allegedly sexually assaulted his girlfriend.
According to Toledo police, 50-year-old Gilberto Sanchez confronted a person who was accused of sexually assaulting Sanchez's girlfriend. Sanchez then allegedly used a knife to cut the victim multiple times, according to a Toledo Municipal Court document.

Sanchez was arrested and booked at the Lucas County jail at approximately 8:20 p.m. He was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault.
The severity of the other person's injuries is currently unknown.

Sanchez entered a plea of no contest Monday; his bond was set at $5,000.
