TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a central Toledo shooting in which a residence and a gas meter were struck following an incident early Wednesday.
According to a Toledo police report, a person was involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect outside in the 200 block of North Detroit Avenue at approximately 6:25 a.m. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun, fired it at the victim, then fled on foot. The victim was not struck in the incident.
The bullet struck the front porch of a residence, and another round struck the gas meter at a residence next door, police claimed in the report.
Police determined no injuries were caused by the incident, and notified Toledo Fire and Rescue and Columbia Gas.

Officers were not able to locate a suspect at the time of the report. No other arrests had been made.
