TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in downtown Toledo Monday night.
In a Toledo police report, law enforcement said they responded to a local hospital at approximately 11 p.m. after the institution reported a walk-in gunshot wound victim.
The victim told police he and his cousin were in downtown Toledo near 14th Street and Jefferson Avenue when they heard gunshots. The victim realized he was shot, and his cousin drove him to the hospital for treatment. The victim's injury is non-life threatening, police said.
In the report, police claimed both the victim and the cousin had "conflicting accounts" of where and how the incident occurred.
