A person is in custody after allegedly leading police on a chase through west Toledo and into Springfield Township Wednesday afternoon, crashing into another vehicle during the pursuit.
According to a Toledo police report, police responded to a call for menacing at the Chase Bank in the 3300 block of Secor Road at approximately 4:15 p.m. When police approached the suspect, 25-year-old Darryl Lovett, he allegedly fled in his vehicle.
Police then pursued Lovett, who struck an uninvolved vehicle. Lovett led police to the Toledo-Springfield Township line at Dorr Street, police claimed, where they broke off. The Lucas County Sheriff's Office stopped Lovett at the other side of the line and took him into custody.
There were no injuries during the pursuit, according to the report.
Lovet was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Thursday. He was charged with failure to comply, obstructing official business and menacing. A judge set his bond at $50,000. He is scheduled to reappear in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 9.
