Reports of targeted delivery driver robberies lead to SWAT surveillance, two teens arrested in north Toledo

Authorities said they were surveilling the area after receiving reports that targeted delivery drivers.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police arrested two teenaged suspects accused of robbing a delivery driver in north Toledo Friday, after officers received reports of robberies of a similar nature at the same location.

According to a Toledo police report, gang task force and special intelligence group officers, along with SWAT units, set up surveillance outside an apartment complex in the 3700 block of East Manhattan Boulevard.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., a delivery driver arrived in the area and was approached by two teen suspects. The suspects, age 16 and 17, robbed the delivery driver, armed with what police described as an AR-15 style rifle.
