One person injured in south Toledo shooting, police say

Police responded to the south Toledo address shortly before 10 p.m.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in south Toledo late Monday. 

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the 1000 block of Walbridge Avenue on a shots fired call at approximately 10 p.m. Witnesses at the scene told police two males were speaking to each other in the street. The two exchanged gunfire and one individual fled in a vehicle, police said in the report. 

After this incident, a victim arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound, an injury police described in the report as non-life threatening.

Police did not state if any charges were filed in the incident.
