Toledo police arrest multiple juveniles during curfew sweep Friday

The Toledo Police Department issued a reminder of curfew restrictions on their social media Friday.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police conducted a city-wide curfew sweep Friday, during which officers targeted juveniles out after restricted hours, resulting in several arrests.

According to police reports, Gang Task Force and field operations officers conducted searches of several sections in the city, including city parks and apartment complexes.

In one report, police said they began searching in the area of the Larchmont Apartments and Sylvania corridor. A juvenile was located at Lewis Avenue and McDonald Street, but fled and was unable to be located.

Police then altered their focus to Cherrywoods, Regina Manor and Moody Manor and reported no issues.

Following that, police responded to a "large underage party" in the 500 block of Plymouth Street. Officers also received a ShotSpotter alert from the Plymouth Street and Delence Street intersection. At the location, police arrested or released to adults a total of nine juveniles, some of whom are facing charges.

According to the report, multiple other juveniles were inside the location, so no charges were filed and they were released to adults. Officers also claimed they seized one ounce of marijuana, totaling $100.
