TOLEDO, Ohio — Three suspects accused in the shooting death of a pregnant Toledo woman have been indicted on numerous charges, including several counts of aggravated murder.
According to court documents, as grand jury indicted Paris James and Jerry Scott each on five counts of aggravated murder, four counts of murder, one count of aggravated burglary, two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence.
In addition, Shatwiya Triplett was indicted on two third-degree felony counts of obstructing justice.

All three suspects are accused of involvement in the homicide of 34-year-old Tameisha Price, whose unborn child was also killed in the shooting. Price's homicide was described in an arrest warrant as premeditated.
According to court documents, detectives said that Scott did participate in the planning and execution of the plan that resulted in the death of Price. Court documents also stated that Triplett, who detectives said is James' live-in girlfriend, provided an alibi for James that was later proven to be false.
The shooting happened just before 5 a.m. in the 5300 block of Norton Place near Reynolds Road and Airport Highway on Jan. 24. Officers responded to reports of a person shot and found Price suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The Lucas County Coroner revealed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death as a homicide. The coroner also said that a separate fetal death certificate for Price's unborn baby girl would be issued after the autopsy ruled the cause of death as complications with maternal gunshot wounds.
