ERIE COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash resulted in one death in Erie County Monday morning, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Authorities said a 2012 GMC pick-up truck was traveling northbound on US 250 when a 2020 Chevy SUV, traveling southbound on US 250, went left of center shortly before 7 a.m. The Chevy went left of center and struck the GMC, causing the GMC to travel off the west side of the roadway and strike a concrete barrier.

The driver of the GMC was transported to the hospital for unknown injuries, OSHP said. The driver of the Chevy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to authorities.

The crash remains under investigation, OSHP said.
