TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people were taken to the hospital early Friday after a west Toledo crash.
Police and emergency rescue crews responded to the 4200 block of Monroe Street around 2:15 a.m. According to authorities, a driver lost control of their vehicle and left the roadway before crashing into a pole.
Both the driver and another occupant - a small child - were taken to the hospital. The severity of their injuries is unknown.
Monroe Street was blocked off while authorities investigated the crash. The crash also caused a power outage to nearly 1,600 people. By 5:45 a.m., fewer than 300 people were without power.
