TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Fire and Rescue (TFRD) crews battled a house fire in east Toledo Thursday morning in an incident that resulted in the death of one dog.
According to authorities at the scene, the occupants of the house left around 8:30 a.m. When crews arrived on scene in the 200 block of Morrison Avenue, the fire was significant and firefighters had difficulties battling the blaze due to fire in the structure's knee walls and construction of the roof line.
