Shots fired from SUV strike south Toledo home, police say

Police said a 5-year-old child was at home at the time of the shooting.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating an incident in south Toledo after an occupied home was struck by gunfire early Wednesday. 

According to a Toledo police report, crews were dispatched to the 1000 block of Rockcress Drive shortly after midnight. Police said the home was occupied by two adults and a 5-year-old child. While the home was struck by shots, no one was injured in the incident.

Police said in the report they were told a dark SUV was seen fleeing the area. Authorities located and collected evidence.
